It is important for Severin Safari Camp to also teach the guests about the environment and natural protection during a “Back of the House” tour.

Fresh water is brought to Severin Safari Camp by using the own pipeline which comes directly from Mzima Springs. Hot water is made using solar energy and heat recovery of the power generators.

Severin Safari Camp is the first camp to possess a waste water treatment plant which cleans the entire waste water from the tents and the kitchen.

Severin Safari Camp has also won the TravelLife Award and in 2014 was awarded with the Tripadvisor Travellers’ Choice Award for excellent service.

The Camp also supports the association founded by the general manager, Mr. Severin Schulte, Skills for Kenya e.V. It helps young Kenyans with education and training in order to enable a better start in their working life and develop knowledge and skills. Special attention is paid to socially weak and disadvantaged children and adolescents whose environment and familiar situations don’t offer the financial means for education and training.
